Christmas Sale

I am having a small opening at the Rottinghaus Gallery in O’Bryonville on Friday, November 30 from 5 to 8. I tried to price things for the holidays, so if you are troubled about what to get someone as a gift for the holidays and you just aren't comfortable buying them something really expensive like a car or a house, a painting is the perfect solution to your problems- and much cheaper. While you are at it, you might as well buy one of mine. There are a lot of smaller paintings, a few priced at or below $100. They will all be hung together for easy viewing. I will be on hand to explain all of the complicated subject matter.

I probably will not be dressed up as Santa.

Here is their information if you would like to come:

Rottinghaus Custom Framing (513) 871-3662

1983 Madison Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45208

Normal business hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. All works are framed, though new frames can be ordered at the gallery.

Secret Artworks 2007

I am participating in for the second year in a row in the Secret ArtWorks fund raiser for the ArtWorks program. Artists were asked to do small works on provided 5x7 cards. The work is donated to the event and sold by ArtWorks for $75. The trick is you have no idea who did the work till you buy it and turn it over to see the name on the back. So the thing to do is just buy work you like. It may be a work by a local high school student or a nationally know artist with work in a museum.

Just so you know, I did 3 little paintings.

Could be a good way to get some Christmas presents.

The works can be previewed here (there are over a 1000 to look at) and they go on sale:

View Point 2007 Honorable Mention Award

The Blue Vase Painting in the View Point show was awarded an Honorable mention cash award. I was a bit surprised by some of the choices for the awards, but it was a good show, and I was very honored to be chosen for the post card.
